NOT AN EXPERIENCE, JUST A TABLE OF FOOD AND WINE
My wife and I booked a "Wine and Food Tasting Experience" in the Chester Veeno with 2 friends as part of their 50th Wedding Celebration. We were VERY disappointed because: 1. The table was far too small for four people, and soon became cluttered, as all the wines and food were delivered together. (I appreciate that it is a small venue). 2. It was not a wine tasting "experience" at all, as all 16 wine glasses were put on the table at once, with no labelling or reference to the related items on the food platter, except for a paper leaflet giving a very brief relationship of each wine to the food items. 3. The food items on the platter and bread basket were very few. 4. When the bill arrived there was a surcharge (not advertised) as our 2 friends had asked for vegetarian food; and a service charge (again not advertised) of "10%", which in fact proved to be 12.5%). 5. The service was very slow and during our time at table the staff appeared very disinterested.
