Dreadful service -Victoria Park Post Office, Cardiff
Victoria Park Post Office, 408 Cowbridge Rd East, Cardiff CF5 1JJ We have supported this PO for over 20 years and were very proud when they won PO of The Year in 2020. HOWEVER, even though the same people run it, it has gone downhill tremendously. A few days ago I needed to print a label for my parcel. The charge was £1 for an A4 size paper half full with B&W print! (someone said it actually costs them pence). At this point the owner made himself busy serving someone else. The printer printed the label incorrectly so the owner's daughter very kindly helped us. The label came out correctly and filled the page. The owner insisted on us paying another £1, even though it was the printer that had made the mistake and that was pointed out to him. The daughter was embarrassed, as were we - the shop was full of people too. I have since talked to 2 of the locals who were in the shop at the time and they are disgusted. I will avoid going again to support this local Post Office but instead will walk to the next one further down the road in Canton where I am assured the owners and workers are extremely helpful, kind and make a real effort to foster relationships with the local community. Such a shame.
