I picked up a few of The Skinny FoodâŚ
I picked up a few of The Skinny Food Coâs Barista Shot syrups mainly out of curiosityânot because Iâm watching calories, just because I love flavoured coffee and thought theyâd be a fun way to mix things up. First Impressions: The bottles are small (60ml), but they pack in around 30 servings each. I grabbed Salted Caramel, French Vanilla, and Hazelnut. The packaging is convenientâno mess, easy squeeze, and you can even take them with you if you want to flavour coffee at work or on the go. Taste: This is where things were a bit of a mixed bag. ⢠Salted Caramel was the clear winner for me. Sweet, smooth, and not overpowering. It blended nicely into both hot and iced coffee, and it added a bit of that dessert cafĂŠ vibe I was after. ⢠French Vanilla was decentâvery sweet, a little artificialâbut not bad at all if youâre into that âvanilla latteâ feel. It works better in hot drinks than iced, in my opinion. ⢠Hazelnut was just fine for experiment, but I didnât love it. It smelled amazing though. Sweetness & Texture: Theyâre definitely sweetâprobably sweeter than most people would expect, considering thereâs no sugar. If you like your drinks lightly flavored, you might want to use less than the suggested serving. Texture-wise, theyâre watery rather than syrupy, but they mix easily. Is it worth it if youâre not dieting? Surprisingly, yeah. If you enjoy flavored drinks and want something fun and portable, theyâre a cool addition to your coffee routine. The fact that theyâre sugar-free is just a bonusâbut I wouldnât pick them because of that. For me, itâs all about the flavor and convenience. Bottom Line: If youâre just in it for taste (like I was), try Salted Caramel or French Vanilla. Skip the more ânoveltyâ flavors unless youâre really into experimenting. Theyâre not cafĂŠ-quality syrups, but theyâre fun, easy, and surprisingly enjoyableâespecially for the price.
