Awful Direct Debit payment system

We have spent close to 18 months trying to have Leep set up a direct debit, repeatedly without success. Upon calling the customer service centre, you're either told that there is no issue at their end and the direct debit it set up, or that they will cancel the existing one and set up a new one, which inevitably doesn't ever debit from your account. The bills you receive don't align properly as a result of attempted and failed direct debits and then to top it all off, you receive notice that they have now decided a direct debit from June last year wasn't actually successful as they reported on their statement at the time and so now you owe this money 11 months after the fact. Their direct debit system is clearly flawed, but they never seem to take responsibility or accountability for this and leave the customer chasing them and their tails to resolve issues caused by Leep.
