Told Cancellation Received & Being Processed Yet Not The Case
Elderly Father decided to cancel his policies (total less than $4,500) from 1963 and 1987 due to loss of my Mom (his Wife of 66 years) in order to cover cost of medical bills/funeral expenses. Sent completed forms as provided per website and after no response 30 days later, called to verify receipt. Was told received and being processed. A month later after not receiving payment, called again and was told same. 3 weeks following same scenario and finally received an email response stating a different form was needed with witness signature (non-relative). Why they could not state this initially vs telling him being processed makes no sense. Yesterday, he sent the forms with witness signature as well as notarized. Hopefully, we will not get the "run around"!
