Completely unsympathetic and terrible management

I hardly ever leave reviews but I really feel strongly about this and need to warn future potential customers (I wish I had visited this website before signing up). I hate to leave negative feedback but it needs to be done. I originally signed up to multiple level 4 courses to help further my career as a Personal Trainer. Unfortunately due to covid my courses with Future Fit were cancelled, completely understandable. During this time I made the decision to go to university as I was struggling financially during the pandemic and thought now would be the perfect time to receive a student loan and further my career. I contacted Future Fit and their customer support was completely unsympathetic, stubborn and refused to even consider allowing me out of the contract or allow me contact with the manager, even when I offered to let them keep the money I had already paid via direct debit. I understand I’m bound into a contract but given the circumstances and the global pandemic, I was expecting a little more sympathy from Future Fit rather than “it’s too late, you had 14 days to cancel”, like I knew a global pandemic was around the corner. Fast forward to today, I’m finally booked onto my course a year later, to which I turn up and only 1 other student is there, the course was cancelled with zero communication and no updates online on the student zone either (even after receiving a text at the start of the week warning us to prepare for our course today). Both of us requested compensation for the petrol used and the money lost from having to cancel clients to be there, all we were offered was an extra CPD course which obviously isn’t going to pay for money lost today. The woman who spoke to me was very lovely, but the fact the management, even after this event, refuse to help me or sympathise is ridiculous. I know it is 100% feasible to opt out of this contract as I have spoken to the finance company directly and they advised Future Fit could cancel it on their end. Personally if it were my company I’d be calling students personally and doing all I can to avoid receiving negative reviews. I wish I’d never signed up to these courses, all of which I’m still paying for monthly and still have yet to attend due to no fault of my own.
