Absolute waste of time and energy
Absolute waste of time and energy. I self-toured a house using the Rently app and loved it. I had some questions and wanted to apply, so I contacted the call center--yes, some call center where I could barely understand the speaker--and the agent was rude and not knowledgeable, obviously was not local, and just gave me the same canned response about how I should expect a reply in 24-48 hours. I did not receive the promised reply. I sent no less than 3 emails and never connected with a real person, although I kept getting the same automated form letter response in reply. More than a week later, I got a message with my name wildly misspelled stating that the property I wanted was no longer available. This company is completely scammy. Maybe it's great for slumlords who want the highest profit margin possible and no responsibility for taking care of properties, but if you're a prospective tenant, you will get screwed. Take a look at their complaints on the BBB website and you will see what I mean. It's also worth mentioning that this company is NOT BBB accredited. Avoid at all costs to save yourself time, money, and stress.
